Error: Setup tried to create an invalid path during reinstall of Office Pro.
Error:
Setup tried to create an invalid path using <folder name> and <file name>.
Cause:
Office Professional is being setup over an existing workstation installation of Microsoft Office Standard. The original Office Standard installation was done from a Run from Server installation and the Server option was selected when installing shared files. The shared file location is not updated properly by the Office Professional installation.
Solution:
Remove Office Professional using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Then uninstall Office Standard. Reinstall Office Professional.
1) Close all open applications:
a) Right-click on the taskbar button for the application and select 'Close' from the shortcut menu.
b) Click 'Close' to close the application.
2) Click 'Start' todisplay the Windows 'Start' menu.

3) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'.

4) Open the 'Add/Remove Programs' icon. (The Add/Remove Programs dialog box appears.)
5) Click the 'Install/Uninstall' tab.
6) Select 'Microsoft Office Professional' from the list of installed applications.

7) Click 'Add/Remove...'.
8) Insert the Office 95 installation CD ROM or diskette when prompted.
9) Click 'Remove All'.

10) Follow instructions to uninstall Microsoft Office Professional.
NOTE: Click 'Ignore' if the following message appears: 'Setup could not remove the <folder name> to <file name>. This file is currently being used by another application.' Setup will continue.
11) Follow steps 1) to 9) to remove Microsoft Office Standard files.
12) Run Setup to reinstall Office 95 Professional.
